What is Third wave Cognitive Behavior Therapy?
Third wave Cognitive Behavior Therapy represents a modern generation of cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT) focusing on Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) & it’s context, function, mindfulness, acceptance, and the relationship to thoughts rather than just changing their content. Third-wave treatments are empirically supported and effective for various mental health conditions, including anxiety disorders, depression, and personality disorders, with results showing they are generally as effective as traditional CBT.
